10-day anti-Malaria campaign kicks off
JHAPA, April 12: The District Public Health Office, Jhapa launched a 10-day campaign at Malaria-hit Pathamari in Kachankawal rural municipality-5, Jhapa from Tuesday for the elimination of malaria.
The environmental sanitation and management campaign was initiated to eradicate Malaria disease at Pathamari – the most malaria-affected zone of Jhapa, shared Vector Control Officer Bed Prasad Ghimire.
As many as 16 people of the area were detected with Malaria in the last fiscal year and this year it is four so far.
As part of the campaign, the holes and pits noticed in the premises of Pashupati Primary School, Pathimari were leveled up to avoid mosquitoes.
