Government would not want to lose Cricket coach : Finance Minister Mahat

Kathmandu, July 01. Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has started initiation that the government would provide funds renew the contract of Pubudu Dassanayake as the Nepali national cricket team’s coach.

A day after the Cricket Association of Nepal decided not to renew the contract, Finance Minister Dr Mahat wrote on Twitter this morning that the government would not want to lose Dassanayake “who has worked hard to raise Nepal’s cricket status.”

Minister Mahat has also mentioned that he has started initiation to renew his contract, for this he has already tabled the concerns with Sports Minister and concerned body.
