UML 9th GC: Election starts

Kathmandu, July 11.  The election of CPN-UML to choose a new leadership of the party, which has started from 4pm.

Before starting the election, tension has gripped Bhrikutimandap area, where the elections are being held, after the cadres of two rival factions in the party — led by KP Oli and Madhav Nepal respectively — chanted slogans against each other. Both Oli and Nepal are vying for the party’s chairmanship.
