Nepal Keen to Adopt Modi’s Political Model of Development



New Delhi, 31. Minister for Commerce Mr. Sunil Bahadur Thapa has said that Nepal keen to adopt Modi’s political model of development.

Speaking on “Indo – Nepal Relations”. Mr. Thapa stated that Nepal is keen to learn from Modi ji’s political model of development leading towards the path of economic model of development. Democratic constitution based on consensus is essential for Nepal’s economic evolution.
All democratic parties in Nepal are affected by the ongoing social and cultural changes in our society. West Minister model of democracy and elections is best suited for Nepal. But the Nepal federalism should be based within geographical, cultural & economic framework stated. Mr. Thapa agreed with OFBJP leader Mr. Vijay Jolly’s comments that increased business to business and people to people contacts between India & Nepal should be the top priority today.
The visit by Indian Prime Minister Shri. Modi to Nepal from 3rd Aug 2014 is historic, shall set the tone of development, for eradication of poverty and increased cooperation in the field of hydro power projects.
Mr. Sunil Bahadur Thapa was warmly welcomed with bouquets, BJP lotus symbol was pinned on the coat of Nepali leader & BJP saffron scarf along with a Ganesh statue was presented. Also present on the occasion were Ajit Kumar & Saurabh Gupta of BJP Nepal Sampark Vibhag, OFBJP Poland Convenor J.J. Singh, OFBJP Latvia Convenor Sumit Chakravarty, OFBJP Central Committee members Mukesh Gupta, Ms. Ritu Rathaur, Anil Gupta, Dinesh Kumar, Ms Anu Das, Devender Bansal, Mandip Rana, Heera Majoka, Vandana Pathak, Ms. Ruby Yadav, Nikhil Tripathi & Mool Chand Sharma etc.
