Death toll climbs to 21, in Sindhupalchok landslide



Kathmandu, August 04. Eight more bodies have been found two days after a massive landslide blocked the Sunkoshi river at Mankha VDC in Sindhupalchok.

The confirmed death toll from Saturday’s crisis has climbed to 21 with the recovery of the bodies from the debris. Bodies of five women and three children have been pulled out today. Around 155 people feared missing after the landslide.

Security personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and locals have been scouring the landslide hit area for missing people.
