Nepal lift the ACC U-16 trophy



Kathmandu, August 20. Nepal has defeated to the Malaysia by 32 runs at the ongoing ACC U-16 Premier Cricket Championship in Malaysia on Wednesday.

Malaysia, winning the toss, invited Nepal to bat first in their last match of the tournament played at the Kinrara Academy Oval Cricket Stadium in Kaula Lumpur.

Nepal scored 161 runs in allotted 40 overs losing nine wickets. Pawan Sarraf scored highest 44 runs in the match for Nepal. He smashed two sixes. Similarly, Ravi Chand contributed 34 runs. Nepal had started the campaign with a 10-wicket rout of Thailand and had dispatched Singapore by 49 runs. Nepal then overwhelmed Oman by 102 runs and thrashed Bahrain by 186 runs for their fourth successive victory.

The hosts beat Thailand by five wickets and edged Singapore by four wickets in matches respectively.
