UCPN (M) Vice Chairman Bogati passes away

Kathmandu, September 15. UPCN (Maoist) Vice Chairman Post Bahadur Bogati died in course of treatment at Norvic Hospital on Monday morning at 7:15 am .

Bogati, 62, was pronounced dead at around 7:15 am. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre in Bansbari, Maharajgunj, on Thursday where a heart operation was carried out. He was then transferred to Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital.

Hospital sources had said that Bogati had suffered from heart attack (myocardial infarction) and brain attack (left cerebral infarction) simultaneously. He was showing no signs of improvement for the past three days of treatment. He was put on life support at the

hospital and was administered drug to maintain his blood pressure.

Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda condoled the demise of the leader saying it was an irreparable loss to the party and communist movement.Prachanda said,” We lost our comrade”.

Similarly, Senior leader Baburam Bhattarai has also condoled the demise of the leader . “UCPN (M) VC Comrade Post Bahadur Bogati ‘Diwakar’ died at 7.25 am today. It’s irreparable loss to our party and communist movement! Homage and red salute, Comrade!’ Bhattarai tweeted.

His body will be kept at party headquarters in Paris Danda till 9 am and later be shifted to Khulla Manch at 11 am for final tribute.
Bogati is survived by his wife and two daughters.
