11 killed in Myagdi jeep accident



Kathmandu, September: A jeep carrying local passengers skidded off a mountain road and tumbled down near Rima in Histan VDC of Myagdi district, killing at least 11 people.

The ill-fated Mahindra Max jeep bearing registration number plate Ga 1 Ja 4324 was heading for the district headquarters from Ramche VDC, police confirmed.  A police team has been sent to the accident site. However, the deceased have not been identified.

According to one local Babina Garbuja, the jeep has plunged some 100 meters down the road. The other passengers travelling by the jeep are being searched.  The jeep slowly moved back before tumbling down.
