PHSC hearing for new CJ tomorrow

Kathmandu, September 29. The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) has decided to conduct hearing with Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Shah, who was recommended for the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Supreme Court, tomorrow.

A meeting of the Committee held today decided to conduct the hearing tomorrow at 8 am, according to the Parliament Secretariat. Earlier, the Committee was scheduled to hold the hearing on Friday, but later it was put off mourning ex-minister Siddha Raj Ojha who died on Thursday.

The Constitutional Council on September 10 had recommended Shah for the top position at the Supreme Court. Incumbent Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma is retiring on October 10.
