Former Indian Minister Singh calls on PM



Kathmandu, October 12.  Former Indian Minister Bhishma Narayan Singh called on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday morning.

According to the PM’s press advisor Prakash Adhikari, The two leaders discussed Indo-Nepal relations, Nepal’s peace process and constitution writing.

Singh expressed his hope that Nepal will get a new constitution during Koirala’s tenure, added Adhikari. Singh had served as the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies, Works, and Housing and Labour and Communications in Indira Gandhi-led government in 1980s.

He had also served as the Governor in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Arunanchal states.
