SAARC’s foreign ministers arrive



Kathmandu, November 25. External Affairs Ministers of SAARC member countries today arrived in Kathmandu to attend the 36th Session of the SAARC Council of Ministers scheduled for tomorrow.

Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmood, Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani, Bhutanese Foreign Minister Rinzin Dorje, India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Maldives’ Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon arrived here, leading their respective delegations for the Council of Ministers’ meeting.

Sartaj Aziz, national security and foreign affairs adviser to the prime minister of Pakistan, is leading his country’s delegation for the ministerial meeting. He also arrived today via Oman.

Sri Lankan External Affairs Minister Gamini Lakshman Peiris, however, will arrive on a special flight tomorrow morning.
