India’s trade surplus not right‚ not sustainable: Modi



Kathmandu, November 26. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India has huge trade surplus in SAARC nations and added that it was ‘neither right nor sustainable’.

While addressing to the the 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation or SAARC Summit, Prime Minister Modi said India however was ready to give a level-playing field to all the member states of the SAARC.

Stating that infrastructure was is greatest priority in India, the Indian Prime Minister said so was the case in other SAARC nations. Prime Minister Modi also said that the time was ripe to narrow down the distance between producers of goods and their consumers. RSS
