BAJURA, Apr 8: A man died after he was crushed by a falling tree in Badimali of the district on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office, Bajura, Damma Khatri (32) of Badimali-9 was crushed to death by a falling tree which was uprooted by strong wind yesterday night.

The incident occurred while he had gone to a nearby forest to collect firewood.

Critically injured Khatri breathed his last near the power house in Martadi while being rushed to Nepalgunj for treatment.

He was referred to Nepalgunj after the District Health Office, Bajura could not provide him better treatment.

Khatri is survived by his wife and two sons.
