Lawmakers clean different areas in KTM



Kathmandu, May 1: Lawmakers have today cleaned up different areas under the Budhanilkantha Municipality in a bid to prevent infection due to the haphazard accommodation of people after the destructive earthquake occurred on Saturday.

The lawmakers under the leadership of the MP’s Office of the Kathmandu Constituency No 4 cleaned-up Chapali, Mahankal, Kapan and Ward Nos 33, 1, 7 and 8 of the Budhanilkantha Municipality.

A press statement issued by the MP’s Office states, “We urge one and all to clean their surroundings as infection due to lack of proper management of garbage produced following unsystematic accommodation of thousands of people after the quake can take place in the form an outbreak along with serious impact in public health.”

The MP’s Office, at a time when the government has been urging to pay attention to cleanliness, appealed to all citizens to involve in the clean-up campaign keeping the possible health problems in mind. RSS
