Concessional loan to be provided to quake-damaged industries: Minister Basnet



Kathmandu, June 16: Minister for Industry, Mahesh Basnet, has said that the factories and industries, damaged by the quake, would be provided with concessional loan.
At an inauguration of Footwear Design Training organised by the Footwear Producers’ Association Nepal here today, Minister Basnet said that the ministry has been taking initiatives to provide concessional loan to the quake-hit industries.Stating that number of people going abroad for overseas employment after quake has been increasing day by day, he stressed the need of providing employment to people by imparting such types of trainings.

The Industry Minister further said a loan from 5 million to Rs 10 million would be provided to large-scale of industries, damaged by quake.

Special priority would be given to trainings in the upcoming budget programme.

Similarly, Officiating President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Pashupati Murarka said that the government should bring a special plan for the industrial sector. The NCCI is going to provide three-month training to 20 people in 20 industries of Kathmandu valley. RSS
