Murarka to take charge as FNCCI prez today



KATHMANDU, JUL 03 – The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is all set to get new President today. Pashupati Murarka, the officiating President of FNCCI will helm the top-post amid a ceremony at FNCCI secretariat in Teku today. The formal event is scheduled to commence at 2-15 PM.

Gateways for Pashupati Murarka to become the President of private sector apex body had opened after two other hopefuls Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar and Bhawani Rana pulled off from the election race supporting Murarka. The FNCCI top post has remained vacant since Pradeep Jung Pandey was sentenced jail on March 18 over a three-decade old corruption case. Since Murarka will be stepping in the boots of Pandey, his working tenure will last for around 21 months.
