UML will not lobby for government leadership: Oli

Pathari (Morang), July 5: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the party constructed as many as 27,256 temporary shelters for the people rendered homeless by the recent earthquake during the one-month-long campaign launched by the party following the disaster.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Madan Bhandari Foundation here today, leader Oli said the reconstruction campaign was focused on 27 electoral constituencies in the disaster-hit districts.

On a different note, the UML chair said the party has never lobbied for the government leadership, rather the Nepali Congress, UCPN (Maoist) and other some parties were in the view that now it was the turn of the (UML) to head the government.
