Ruling, opposition parties meet to form common view on Tarai protests



KATHMANDU: The dialogues between the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) and the ruling coalition, including CPN-UML, Unified CPN-Maoist, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum- Democratic took place, in the Capital on Saturday.

The parties held a discussion with an objective to forge a common view regarding the  Tarai ongoing agitation, the sources said.

Consequently, they agreed on resolving the crisis through talks at the earliest, reported the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Earlier on Friday, the NC had sent invites to the ruling parties to discuss the problems regarding Tarai unrest to ensure passage of Constitutions Amendment Bill and address issues related to reconstruction authority.
