All party meeting discusses to make monsoon session parliament effective



Kathmandu, April 30: The meeting of the major parties represented in the parliament today held discussions on making the upcoming monsoon session of the parliament effective.

The meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar suggested the government to make the session effective, to complete the reconstruction projects before the monsoon and to resolve the genuine issues concerning the Tarai among others.

Following the meeting, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said that National Reconstruction Authority’s performance was not satisfactory, and expressed doubt over the quake survivors getting durable sheds before the monsoon. He urged the government to expedite the reconstruction projects and added that his party was ready to mobilize volunteers for the same.

Leader Deuba further urged the government to hold serious pre-budget discussions.

Likewise, UCPN (Maoist) General Secretary Krishna Bahadur Mahara shared that the meeting held discussions on how to make the parliament session effective, to resolve the Tarai issues and expedite reconstruction projects among other issues. RSS
