India, China congratulate Dahal for his election to PM



Kathmandu, Aug 3: Neighbouring countries- India and China- have congratulated Chairman of the CPN (Maoist-Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal on his being elected the new Prime Minister of Nepal.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi telephoned Dahal soon after his election to the Prime Minister and wished for his successful term.

According to Dahal’s press aide, Purna Karki, Indian Prime Minister, Modi, also invited newly elected Prime Minister Dahal for India visit during their telephone conversation.

Similarly, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, reached at Dahal’s residence, Lazimpat, and congratulated to Dahal on the behalf of the Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang, and people of China.
It’s the second time Dahal became the Prime Minister.
