UML parliamentary party meeting directs its lawmakers to fail the amendment bill

UML

KATHMANDU, April 30: The parliamentary party meeting of the main opposition CPN (UML) today has directed its lawmakers to fail the constitution bill registered by the ruling parties concluding that the bill was against the public aspiration and national interest.

The meeting chaired by the party chair and PP leader K P Sharma Oli concluded that the bill was irrelevant as it was forwarded while the constitution was under implementation and local polls already announced.

The PP deputy leader Subas Nembang said that it was quite surprising that the government again registered amendment to the constitution amendment bill on Saturday.

In the meeting, discussions held with nine-party alliance were also shared with lawmakers. RSS
