NWPP’s Prem Suwal victorious in Bhaktapur-1

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 11: Nepal Workers and Peasant Party (NWPP) candidate Prem Suwal has secured his victory in the House of Representatives Election from Bhaktapur constituency-1.

Suwal defeated his rival from Nepali Congress Babu Raja Joshi. Suwal secured 33,076 votes while Joshi obtained 17,828 votes.

Before Suwal, NWPP Chair Narayan Man Bijukche was the sole candidate of party, and had been winning the election since 1991. However, this time, Bijukchhe, had decided to pitch Suwal in the federal election in his place.
