Bhumeparva kicks off

RUKUM, June 16: Bhumeparva, a festival of Magar community to offer worship to land, has kicked off in the Magar communities from Friday.

Especially, the prayers are taking place with fanfare in Rukum (East), Rukum (West) and Rolpa. The festival begins from mid-June (Jetha-end) every year.

During the festival from Friday to Tuesday, the Magar community people perform ‘Bhumya Dance’ with bands every day.
