Bus-hit cyclist succumbs to injuries in Biratnagar hospital

RAJBIRAJ: A man who was injured in an accident Friday night at Kalyanpur VDC of Saptari district along the East West Highway, died this morning.

The man is identified as Ghuran Mandal, 40, a resident of Khojpur VDC-6 and died at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar this morning, District Police Office said.

Mandal, who was on bicycle, was hit by a bus Na 3 Kha 5551 at Kalyanpur- 3.

Pillion rider Mohar Mandal, 50, of the same place is undergoing treatment, said DSP Shyamsingh Chaudhary.

Area Police Office Kalyanpur has arrested driver Surendra Tamang, 31, of Naubise- 8, Dhading and impounded the bus.
