Bus-truck collision leaves one dead, 18 injured in Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI: A person died and 18 others were injured in a bus-truck collision at Mukundapur of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway this morning.

Police identified the dead as Devjung Rawat, 21, of Simkot-1, Humla district. Critically injured Rawat died while undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital, police said.

The condition of three among the injured is critical, police said. The truck (Na 4 Kha 4635) heading to the west and the bus (Na 3 Kha 7551) from the same direction collided with each other.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College Hospital.
