KATHMANDU, June 12: Ruling Nepal Communist Party standing committee member and former deputy prime minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has argued that the budget for the fiscal year 2018/19 unveiled by the government has failed to present the overall roadmap of nation development.

“The budget could not excite people as it was no different than traditional ones introduced by the erstwhile governments,” he added while speaking at an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Tuesday.

“The government talks about the economic prosperity. But its working ways are not satisfactory. I am not happy with the government’s working style. I don’t find any basis to become satisfied with the budget. I am hopeful though,” he added.

On a different note, he said that it was a matter of pride that Gurkha soldiers were deployed to guard the Trump-Kim summit in Singapore. “It is a proof how much the world trust Nepali people. It is a matter of happiness to every Nepalis.” He added.
