CEC Yadav briefs PM Dahal about Election preparation

KATHMANDU, March 17: Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has briefed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ about the Election Commission’s preparation for local level election made so far at PM residence Baluwatar today.

Dr Yadav after the meeting told the reporters that he had apprised about the EC’s preparation and had discussed about the upcoming local poll with the pm.

Yadav said that he had asked PM to create election friendly environment across the country by bringing all the agitating parties on board the election process and arranging the security conditions.

He added, “PM Dahal has said the government is all prepared for the local poll, and security arrangements have all been made. He has told the EC to carry out works as planned.”

Stating that the EC was deploying staffs and arranging material needed for election in district offices, he added,” problems could arise in some places Terai region, and we are all focused on minimizing as such problems.”
