CIAA arrests its own staffer for receiving bribe

Kathmandu, Jan 13 . The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested its staffer on the charge of receiving  Rs 2 lakhs as bribe from District Health Post Office,  Parbat,  to resolve a corruption case that CIAA had filed against the office.

The arrestees are Officer Binod Amatya and Account Officer Toyanath Sharma . They were looking after the CIAA ‘s regional office based in Pokhara.

According to a statement issued by CIAA, they lured health post chief Dr. Naryan Ojha into temptation by promising him to settle the corruption case.
