KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Minster for Commerce and Supplies Min Bishwokarma has claimed that the under-consideration constitution amendment bill will be endorsed through the parliament in consensus of the main opposition party CPN-UML.

He added, “The government is in serious effort to persuade the opposition and find political understanding through various discussions and meetings.”

“The political environment of the country is gradually finding a resolution. The Rastirya Janata Party Nepal has also agreed to partake in the third phase of local level election. In such condition, I believe UML will cooperate in ending the current political stalemate.”

One the occasion, Minister Bishwokarma also argued that conducting both election of house of representative and province assembly on a single go would be better as the constitutional deadline to conclude all three elections was fast approaching.

He added, “The government is consulting with the Election Commission regarding the same. As soon as the EC officially announces that it is mentally ready for holding both elections on the same day, the government will fix a date.”

He further added that the government is preparing to conduct both election by the end of the year.
