PM Deuba, seven Ministers take oath of office and secrecy (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU, June 7: Newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Dueba has taken oath of office and secrecy at the President’s office at Sital Niwal on Wednesday.

Deuba was sworn as the 40th prime minister of Nepal, succeeding Pushpa Kamal Dahal who proposed former’s candidacy honoring the gentleman agreement reached between Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) in August last year.

Three other Deputy Prime Ministers and four Ministers also took oath of office.

Maoist Center’s (MC) Krishna Bahadur Mahara was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister while Janardan Sharma as Home Minister. MC’s Prabhu Shah will be a minister without a portfolio.
