Dipak Manange presented to special court on Monday



KATHMANDU: Notorious don Rajib Gurung aka Dipak Manange, who was nabbed by the police on charge of amassing property illegally, was presented before the Special Court for the second consecutive day on Monday.

Assistant registrar at the Special Court Keshav Prasad Ghimire said that hearing against Manange will continue on Tuesday at the joint bench of Chairman of the Special Court Kedar Prasad Chalise and members Manoraman Bhattarai and Bhupendra Prasad Rai. However, statement from alleged Manange has been completed.

As the hearing is to continue on Tuesday also, Manange and his wife Pasang have been kept in police custody, Ghimire said.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation had filed a case against Manange and his wife Pasang on May 19 for allegedly amassing property worth Rs 147 million without known sources of income.
