There is no alternative to election: CPN (Maoist Center)

KATHMNDU, Feb 17: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has urged the government to make entire preparations to hold election reaching to a conclusion that there was no alternative to local level election.

A meeting of the CPN-MC held at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Thursday called on the government to announce local level election date and prepare necessary environment for the same.

Noting that the local level election is the first and foremost condition for the constitution implementation, the meeting urged Prime Minister and CPN-MC Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to announce civic polls date by respecting the opinion of public at large.

The meeting also drew the conclusion that the government preparation on constitution amendment and local level election and decided to concentrate full efforts in elections.

The meeting has also noted that the election ate would be announced by holding discussions with opposition parties and Madhesi Morcha in the next Legislature-Parliament meeting. RSS
