Foreign force active to weaken the communist power: Leader Dahal

CHITWAN, July 13: Nepal Communist Party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has claimed that national and international forces were making efforts to weaken the communist power in Nepal.

In his address to a prize distribution and cultural program jointly organized by the Sharada Memorial Foundation and People’s Cultural Federation Chitwan on Friday, the former Prime Minister said, “A big exercise is being undertaken to weaken the Nepal’s communist force.”

He further said that the announcement of formation of a single entity of communist force from the country crowned by the world’s highest peak took western capitalists by surprise when they were claiming that the communist movement was phased out from the world with the dissolve of the Soviet Union and socialist countries in the Eastern Europe.

On a different note, the formulation of post-integration party’s statute regulations had been completed and all other remaining processes regarding the unification would be concluded by coming mid-August.

On the occasion, communist leader Khamba Singh Kunwar was honored with the “Sharada Memorial Award” carrying a purse of Rs 20,000.

Likewise, Progressive Writers’ Association Chitwan’s chair Suman Shrestha was awarded the “Dilliram Dhansara Talent Prize” carrying a purse of Rs 5,000. Similarly, Sukmaya Tamang, spouse of the late Khusiram Pakhrin, was honoured with a cash prize of Rs 15,000. RSS
