Former lawmaker murdered in Saptari

SAPTARI: Former independent lawmaker Shardul Miya Hak, 50, has been murdered at his residence in Kalyanpur-2 of Saptari district last night. He was found dead in his room this morning. The former Constituent Assembly (CA) member had represented Saptari Constituency No. 5.

Police said that Hak was murdered by slitting his throat. Investigations into the murder are underway, according to police.

Hak was also a petroleum dealer besides a political figure.
