FSU election on May 27



KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University has fixed the date for the Free Student Union (FSU) election on May 27 this year, one year after the regular period. Generally, the FSU election is conducted in every two years.

A meeting of the TU executive committee on Saturday decided to hold the FSU election on May 27 as per the demand of the student organizations, according to TU Rector Dr Guna Nidhi Neupane.

Earlier on Friday, the senate meeting of the university had amended regulations paving a way for conducting election.

As per the amended regulations vice chair, treasurers and 50 percent members would be elected under proportional system while others would be elected through a direct electoral system.
