KATHMANDU: Finally, the upcoming free student union (FSU) election scheduled to held on 6 June has been postponed until next notice.

The Tribhuvan University (TU) postponed the FSU election after the student unions did not budge from their stance on late admissions of students in different campuses across the country.

A meeting of the TU Executive Committee held this afternoon took a decision to postpone the FSU election, a source claimed.

Similarly, different student unions have also padlocked the college offices protesting the late admissions of students.

Likewise, the TU officials were at odds lately after the members of the FSU election committee tendered their resignation in different colleges citing difficulties to hold the election.
