Government will not tolerate corruption and monopoly: Home Minister Thapa

CHITWAN, April 19: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, said the government has launched stern steps against corruption and monopoly.

Minister Thapa made the remark after laying the foundation stone for construction of a police station at Jutpani area of Kalika municipality in eastern Chitwan on Wednesday evening.

“We are taking stern steps to eradicate corruption; the government will come forward in a severe manner against crime and any form of monopoly and syndicate system,” Minister Thapa asserted.

Stating that a campaign has already been launched against transport entrepreneurs’ syndicate, the minister added the government would lunge forward against other syndicates as well.

Minister Thapa spoke of his goal of ending the situation where a handful of people are becoming prosperous while the rest are becoming poor. He also made it clear that the ministry will not leave any stain in providing peace and security.

Disclosing the preparations of the Home Ministry for grievance hearing mechanism, Minister Thapa instructed the security organs to work efficiently in maintaining peace and security. RSS
