KATHMANDU, April 20: The Election commission has reinstituted the terms ‘Constitutional monarchy’ and ‘Hindu state’ in the Rastriya Prajatantra Party statute.

With the result, RPP Chair and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa has decided to discontinue all its protest programs launched against the constitutional body.

The EC, last month, had decided to remove the section ‘constitutional monarchy’ and ‘Hindu State’ from the RPP’s statute stating that it was contradictory to the spirit of the constitution. Following EC’s decision, RPP had announced various protest programs across the country.
