Government to meet UDMF again in the evening; open to Front’s demands
KATHMANDU, April 21: Ruling coalition parties and United Democratic Madhesi Front’s leaders’ meeting held on Friday morning at Prime Minister’s residence at Baluwatar has concluded.
In the meeting, summoned by the PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal, issues about constitution amendment and local level election were discussed.
PM Dahal had asked the Madhesi Front’s leaders to find consensus on the constitution amendment bill presented by the government and participate in the upcoming local level election. While, Front had reiterated their stance on the constitutional amendment issues.
PM Dahal had told Madhesi Front leaders he would reconsider the government presented bill and discuss the Madhes-centric parties’ demands with the ruling parties before calling another meeting.
The ruling coalition CPN (Maoist Center), Nepali Congress and Rastriya Prajatantra Party meeting will be held at 3 pm today, and the Government and UDMF will meet again at 5 pm.
