ICC World Cup qualifier: Nepal faces third consecutive defeat

KATHMANDU, March 10: Nepal has faced its third consecutive defeat in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier2018 on Saturday.

Nepal went down to Afghanistan by six wickets in the third match held under the qualifier. Afghanistan met the modest 195-run target posed by Nepal in the 38.4 overs at the loss of four wickets.

Afghanistan’s Najibullah Jadran wasnot out at 52 runs while Rahmat Shah hit 46 runs, Mohammad Nabi 34 runs, Javed Ahamad 26 runs and skipper Rshid Khan 21 runs.

Earlier, Nepal which batted first after winning the toss posted 194 runs in 49.5 overs being all-out. The match held at Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Nepal will play against Hong Kong in its next match on Monday. Nepal has already faced defeat to Zimbabwe and Scotland before this.
