Indians Express Grief on Ecuador Earthquake

New Delhi, 22 April 2016 : Delhi Study Group President & Senior BJP leader Vijay Jolly today met Ambassador of Ecuador Mentor Villagomez and expressed grief & condolences on the recent earthquake in Ecuador. Shubham Gupta Joint Secretary Delhi Study Group also was present on the occasion.

Mr. Jolly reiterated Indian support to the people of Ecuador at this crucial time of natural disaster striking their country. A written message of condolences was handed by Mr. Jolly to the Ecuador Ambassador in India.

The Ecuador Ambassador Mentor Villagomez stated that nearly 507 people are reported killed & at least 4027 injured in the Ecuador earthquake which occurred on 16th April 2016 at 18:58 ECT.

The Ecuador earthquake of 7.8 magnitude was as severe as the last year Nepal tragedy stated Ambassador of Ecuador. The Hon’ble President of Ecuador Rafael Correa has declared a state of emergency in his country.
A floral wreath was placed in the Embassy of Ecuador in the memory of killed & injured citizens.
