Jajarkot hospital facing acute shortage of general medicines

Jajarkot, Jan 7: The Jajarkot District Hospital has witnessed an acute shortage of medicines. The situation emerged for no smooth and regular transportation of medicines to the hospital.

With the disruption of the supply of the drugs following the unofficial blockade by India, the patients admitted to the hospital and general patients seeking treatment have been hit hard.
Even the hospital has no general types of medicines, patients complained. Though the government announced to freely provide 70 types of medicines to patients from health post and 100 types of medicines from health centres and hospitals, the Jajarkot hospital is in complete dearth of medicines.
Some 8-13 patients normally come to the hospital for admission. Though the number of patients approaching the hospital for their health examination is high, there is no situation to get general medicines from the health facility.
