Japanese Ambassador Ogawa observes Medicity Hospital



Nepal Medicity Hospital, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal Masashi Ogawa

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Ambassador of Japan to Nepal Masashi Ogawa has observed Nepal Medicity Hospital on Wednesday.

Founded by Dr Upendra Mahato, founder of Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) and entrepreneur, Medicity Hospital has claimed itself to be the most well equipped hospital of Nepal. Established in an investment of one hundred billion, the hospital has 350 beds and most advanced medical instruments in operation. The hospital is also planning to operate 400 more beds in near future.

On the occasion, Ambassador Ogawa said that establishment of as such hospital will offer all the Nepali easy access to quality medical care and healthcare to people from all walks of life within the country. Ambassador Ogawa was welcomed by the Mahato couple.

The hospital has 12 modular operation theatres, including 7 fully hybrid and 1 integrated OT (with 20-inch flat panel Cathlab), up to 60 OPDs, 3.0 Tesla MRI, 256 slice CT scan, dedicated PET CT for Oncology Department, IVF Wing and emergency OPD facilities with reduced waiting time.

On the occasion, Dr Mahato informed Ogawa that the hospital will also be facilitated with liver, kidney, bone marrow and heart implantation in future.

He further shared that Medicity aims to become the Centre of Excellence in all fields and become a name to reckon with in the field of affordable health care.
