Lawmakers draw govt’s attention on contemporary issues

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Lawmakers speaking in today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament have drawn the attention of the government on contemporary issues.

They have drawn the attention of the government while speaking in zero hour session for the timely completion of ongoing road constructions in Kathmandu valley and on the Narayangadh-Muglin road sections.

Lawmakers have urged the government to take effective measures to complete the ongoing projects in time.

Lawmakers, Anjani Shrestha, Anjan Chaudhary, Ananda Prasad Poudel, Anarkali Miya, Anita Devkota, Afilal Okheda, Aman Lal Modi, Ambar Sing Pun, Amrit Kumar Bohora, Asdiya Narayan Kasaudhan, Uday Shamsher JBR, Kalesha Devi Mahara, Kedar Prasad Sanjel and Keshar Gharti were with these views in the meeting.

Similarly, speaking in the ‘special hour’ of the meeting, lawmaker Jagadish Narshing KC urged to save the life of Dr Govinda KC who is on hunger strike for over two weeks demanding the medical education reforms.

Lawmaker Agni Kharel blamed the government for its dilly dally for formulating laws as 138 laws were essential for the implementation of the constitution. He further demanded to inform the House about the alleged embezzlement of Nepal Oli Corporation while purchasing lands.

Lawmakers Lila Shrestha, Akbal Ahamad, Aindra Sundar Nembang, Dilli Prasad Kafle and Meena Pun also drew the government’s attention on various public and urgent issues. RSS
