Madhes-centric parties for broader unity campaign



Kathmandu: Leaders of some Madhes-centric parties have urged to institutionalize the achievements obtained through the Madhes movement.
Organizing a news conference in the capital on Thursday, the bigwigs of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Ganatantrik), Sanghiya Sadbhawana Party, Madesh-Tarai Forum and Nepal Sadbhawana Party called for the institutionalization of the federal democratic system.
A press statement issued on the occasion states that coordination, cooperation and unity among the Madesh-centric parties was needed to raise the issue of autonomous Madesh province and political rights in the Constituent Assembly.
Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Republican) Raj Kishor Yadav, Chairman of Sanghiya Sadbhawana Party Anil Jha, Chairman of Madesh-Tarai Forum Amar Yadav and Chairperson of Nepal Sadbhawana Party Sarita Giri have signed the press statement.
On the occasion, the leaders said that a broader unity campaign would be expedited among the pro-federal democratic republican forces.
During the programme, Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Ganatantrik) Yadav said that a taskforce would be formed soon for the same adding that regular contact with the leaders was going on to materialize the bid for broader unity campaign.
