Man injured in the shootout

Siraha, May 12: A person has been critically injured in a shootout that occurred at Bishnupur Chowk along the Choharwa-Siraha road section on wee hours of Monday.
A gang of two to three motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at one Jogindra Paswan alias Jogi, a permanent resident of Laxmipur-2 of Siraha district.
According to witnesses, Paswan was shot at four times. Police said that he has received a bullet on waist and his arm. It has been learnt that he has been ferried to Biratnagar for medical treatment.
The firing took place when Paswan was on his way back home from Bishnupur Chowk at around 5 am. police are looking for the assailants. Investigations are underway, police said. –
