Medical aid to Bhaktapur cancer hospital



Nagarkot, Dec 25: Nepali nurse Mala Gurung, who is working in UK, has aided medical equipments worth Rs 500,000 to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.

Medical person Gurung at a programme Thursday handed over the support materials to Hospital’s management committee chairperson Lokendra Kumar Shrestha. The support includes colostomy bag, urine bag and spray, among other medical aid.
Gurung who has also established an organization Mala Outreach to provide support to Nepal has been aiding to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital for the past five years.
Mala’s mother Bala Gurung had received her cancer treatment at the Bhaktapur cancer hospital. Mala said the token of support is to recognize the hospital for successfully treating her mother suffering from cancer.
Receiving the support, hospital management committee chair Shrestha informed that presently the hospital is handling 98 per cent of cancer cases. RSS
