KATHMANDU, June 19: The ruling party Nepali Congress leader Surendra Pandey has claimed that his party would emerge as the largest party in the second phase of local election.

“We are confident we will win in 55 percent local levels,” he said while speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Monday.

“Oli has said that NC’s days are over. But trust me…. when the result of election comes, Oli’s mouth will shut automatically,” he added.

Leader Pandey blamed the opposition UML as the major cause behind rescheduling of the election. “UML has shown such as irresponsible character,” he said.

He further said after UML would take a U-turn after the second phase election and will vote for the constitution amendment bill. “They will be the first to appeal for the endorsement of the bill,” he added.

He also condemned Rastriya Janata Party Nepal to have become negligent by boycotting the election.
