Nepal-India EPG’s third meet: Agendas

KATHMANDU, April 5: The third meet of the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) on Nepal-India relations has begun in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Former ambassador Dr Bhekh Bahadur Thapa is leading the Nepali delegation. The other participants representing the Nepali side are Nilamber Acharya, Rajan Bhattarai and Surya Nath Upadhyay.

The Indian delegation, led by Bharatiya Janta Party leader Bhagat Singh Koshyari, include former ambassador Jayant Prasad, BC Upreti and Mahendra P. Lama.

The EPG meeting, which had been put off twice already, will review all the bilateral agreements made between Nepal and India since 1950 Treaty.

The meeting will also discuss the issues of Nepal-India trade relation and cooperation in hydro power.
