Nepal’s pro-royalist party demands CA elections

LALITPUR: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal, the lone pro-monarchist party in Nepal, has concluded that the Nepal’s main political parties were power-centered, narrowing down the chance of holding election in the coming by April.

The party also said that the major political parties in Nepal failed to forge a consensus due to lack of seriousness to the country.

Party Chairman Kamal Thapa, organizing a press meet today, warned that the country would face a new phase of conflict if the transition continued more.

He accused the ruling UCPN-Maoist of unnecessarily prolonging the government and the opposition concentrating only on the ouster of the present government.

Election was impossible as long as the present government existed, he said, demanding an apolitical government led by an independent person.

According to him, the party has planned to picket all district administration offices across the country on February 10 as part of pressure to other parties for the election within April
